Icon in the notifications not resized on small panels
Last modified: 2008-11-24 21:56:49 UTC
Please describe the problem: the problem is that icons in the notification panel doesnt scalled to feet the panel size. You can see difference at http://avb.bas-net.by/gnome-panel-bug.png. Here u can see, that launchers, taskbar and volume control icons looks great. But all icons in the notification area looks realy bad. You see that gaim and gnome-power-manager icon looks okay, but stardict and gnome-network-manager icons looks very big. I suggest to resize all icons in notification area before displaying them on the panel. Steps to reproduce: 1. Resize the panel to 20px height. 2. look on the launcher icons and icons in notification area. Actual results: you will see the problem what is described here Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:

That's a bug in the various applications. Moving this bug to NetworkManager. You should also file a bug for each application having this problem (stardict, eg).

Created attachment 94155 [details] screenshot Also, when the panel is resized to a large size, the icon keeps small.

Confirmed, we need to do better with scaling.
will be fixed with new icons that have both an updated style, and are scalable. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 504822 ***
