Description Stefano Pedretti 2007-03-31 19:45:46 UTC
The "Print setup" entry in "File" menu starts a form with paper size and orientation settings. All of the print options appears in "Print" form.
I think only one interface is necessary to improve usability.

I also wonder about it
Comment 2 Carlos Garcia Campos 2007-04-02 09:37:11 UTC
GTK+ printing system is designed in this way, it provides a page setup dialog and a print dialog. That's the reason.
Comment 3 Stefano Pedretti 2007-04-02 10:11:13 UTC
Yes i can understand it but, in the print dialog while printing you need to change page size and orientation and this options are in other form.
I wonder the print dialog can handle this couple of addictional options.

Perhaps we can add a tab or a button to the print dialog to open the settings dialog?
Comment 5 Carlos Garcia Campos 2007-07-27 10:28:08 UTC
I think it was a design decision taken in gtk+. See http://www.gnome.org/~alexl/presentations/guadec2006-printing.pdf

So, I think we should follow it for consistency with other applications.
