GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 424971
Print setup single interface
Last modified: 2009-11-25 12:10:38 UTC
The "Print setup" entry in "File" menu starts a form with paper size and orientation settings. All of the print options appears in "Print" form. I think only one interface is necessary to improve usability. Other information:
I also wonder about it
GTK+ printing system is designed in this way, it provides a page setup dialog and a print dialog. That's the reason.
Yes i can understand it but, in the print dialog while printing you need to change page size and orientation and this options are in other form. I wonder the print dialog can handle this couple of addictional options.
Perhaps we can add a tab or a button to the print dialog to open the settings dialog?
I think it was a design decision taken in gtk+. See http://www.gnome.org/~alexl/presentations/guadec2006-printing.pdf So, I think we should follow it for consistency with other applications.
