Description mmvjose 2007-03-25 18:15:13 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I have an email message with 10 JPEG image attachments. When I click on the buttons to view the images inside Evolution ("view inline"), the application crashes.
This happens when I try to hide the second image that I viewed.

Steps to reproduce the crash (in a e-mail message with several attachments):
1 - click on the button to view a image inline
2 - click to hide that image again
3 - click on the button to view anothre image inline
4 - click to hide --> the application crashes!

I've experienced a similar bug (bug 425294), which includes a stack trace with debug symbols.

(In my case I never `hid' any of the images, just inlined a few, and that was enough to cause the crash)

mmvjose: do you have all the latest updates by ubuntu installed?
this bug has been fixed for a long time...

Hmmm...fixed as of when? I can reliably crash 2.8.1 on Edgy with this.

Stack trace follows (dupe finder says this is a dupe of 351374, so I'm guessing it's the same issue...):

Yes, all the updates are installed and Evolution still crashes.
But I noticed that it doesn't always happen when I try to hide the second image (like I reported first). Sometimes it crashes when I view the 3rd or 4th image. Right now I double-clicked rapidly on the view/hide button of one picture of the e-mail message I mentioned in the first report and Evolution crashes.
