GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 422159
[Meta] Firefox ARIA support
Last modified: 2011-07-06 06:41:50 UTC
Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) use standard HTML/XHTML tags with Javascript to create dynamic widgets within the page. In AT-SPI, Firefox marks these elements with wairole:* roles. We need to look for these roles plus the interactive states such as a focusable, editable, and so on to know that we should stop reviewing and let the in-page application take over. This is a metabug that will be blocked by other ARIA bugs as we encounter them.
This bug also covers the concept of live regions and per web application scripting.
lsr (Linux Screen reader) development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few years now. Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing the bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
