Description Peter Parente 2007-03-24 04:44:53 UTC
Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) use standard HTML/XHTML tags with Javascript to create dynamic widgets within the page. In AT-SPI, Firefox marks these elements with wairole:* roles. We need to look for these roles plus the interactive states such as a focusable, editable, and so on to know that we should stop reviewing and let the in-page application take over.

This is a metabug that will be blocked by other ARIA bugs as we encounter them.

This bug also covers the concept of live regions and per web application scripting.
Comment 2 Akhil Laddha 2011-07-06 06:41:50 UTC
lsr (Linux Screen reader) development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few years now. Maintainers don't have future development plan so i am closing the bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development.
