Description Jason Bodnar 2007-03-23 22:37:45 UTC
The command rhythmbox-client --notify causes some characters in song titles to be converted to HTML entities in the resulting pop-up.

For example, The Kids Don't Like It by Reel Big Fish appears as:

The Kids Don't Like It

When mousing over the notification tray icon for rhythmbox the title is showed correctly.

The tag in the file uses an actual apostrophe not an HTML entity.

It works properly for me with libnotify 0.4.3. What version of libnotify are you using?
Comment 2 Jason Bodnar 2007-03-29 15:22:11 UTC
libnotify-0.3.0-6

Perhaps that's the culprit. I'll try to upgrade libnotify and see if that fixes it.

Same problem with Rhythmbox 0.10.1 and libnotify 0.4.4-2 on Fedora 7.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

The problem here is that the notification-daemon themes are inconsistent in how they handle markup.
