GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 421276
mouse wheel scroll on scrollbar jumps always to top message
Last modified: 2012-11-03 23:55:05 UTC
Please describe the problem: Open Evolution and move the mouse to the message list scrollbar. Use the mouse wheel scroll, and it scrolls down an jumps right away to the top message. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open evolution 2. Move the mouse over the message scrollbar (anywhere at the scrollbar) 3. Use mouse scroll Actual results: Message list scrolls down but jumps right away to top (at no time). Expected results: Simply scrolling down in the message list. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: Up-to-date Ubuntu Feisty with Evolution 2.10. Problem was still there at the 2.9 developement cycle.
This happens always when the selected mail gets on top of the list, and you'll scroll further. Maybe its gtk-related in some ways (not found any other application atm. that do the same).
I can confirm this behaviour - ubuntu 9.10 amd64, evolution 2.28.1. However it is rather minor now. It happens only when I click on another folder and there is a pre-selected email (since the last use of that folder), which is not on top of the list of emails. Then, use of mouse scrollbar over message list scrollbar just flickers a bit and does not scroll. Clicking on any other email in the list or manually scrolling down the message list scrollbar or using mouse scroll over message list results in working mouse scroll over the scrollbar suddenly.
I have not seen this problem for ages. Is this still a problem in 3.4.4 or 3.2.3?
Seems okay for me (in 3.4.4)
Thanks!
