Description fibonacci.prower 2007-03-20 22:03:05 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Whenever I try to crop or resize an image and click with that tool anywhere on the image window, the (annoyingly wide) crop & resize dialog box appears on top of said window, blocking the view of the image I am about to crop.
What's worse, it will not go away even by clicking back on the image window - the only solution is to drag it out of the screen.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open any image on the GIMP.
2. Pick the crop & resize tool from the toolbox.
3. Click anywhere on the image window.

Actual results:
The crop & resize dialog box obstructs the view of the image.

Expected results:
The crop & resize dialog box is not as wide and/or appears behind the image window (I suggest the former option).

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

For the Crop tool this is fixed in the development version.
