Description John Sullivan 2001-09-10 00:36:28 UTC
To reproduce: In manual-layout icon view, drag an icon very close to the right
edge of the window, more than halfway out of the visible window. Sometimes when
you release the icon it lands where you drop it. Other times it lands about a
screenfull of white space to the right -- you have to scroll horizontally to see
it. The distinction between these two cases isn't yet clear to me. I think the
bad case happens if you drop it really close to the edge. Maybe it has something
to do with cursor position being on/off the window?

High time estimate because I'm not familiar with this code. Might be trivial.

I can't reproduce this anymore, so it must have been fixed somewhere along the
line (since I'm the one who could reliably reproduce it before).

------- Additional Comments From brett@eazel.com 2001-01-12 13:25:34 ----

I can't reproduce this either. Every icon I've dropped more than halfway off
the window lands where I expect it. Marking verified.
