What were you doing when the application crashed?
reports this crash on startup, applet works fine after a killall gnome-panel.  possibly a bug with the dbus jumpstart of tracker? I'm using latest svn of tracker on this machine but using a stable build of the deskbar and related libs, would the version mismatch cause problems?
