GMC has a "New Terminal" command in the desktop background context menu that
creates a new terminal window. Perhaps we should have this also. Note that to
follow our "context menu is for shortcuts" rule we would probably also want to
put this in the File menu in the menubar and perhaps in the background context
menu for all directory views (not just desktop). See bug 41063 for where the menu
item would go.

Possible future feature:

"New Terminal here" - when used from a window, 'cd's the resulting terminal to
that directory.

Added it to the Desktop context menu only for now. If we decide to add it to the

Verified fixed; the menu item is now present, and selecting it will open a new
terminal window. (whether an existing window is present or not.)
