Please describe the problem:
the desktop panels are unusable.

luckily i had a terminal shortcut on my desktop,
to start apps manually.

Steps to reproduce:
1. each time 
2. 
3. 


Actual results:
see above

Expected results:
buddy window closes

cannot determine the gnome version, since
the upper panel cannot be accessed.

also i'm not sure, if the component 
libgnome-desktop is causing this.

please advice me to get the system running again.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
