Description Uwe Oberlack 2007-03-12 22:46:16 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I have installed a new OS (OpenSUSE 10.2), running KDE 3.5.2, now using evolution 2.8.2. I imported my evolution settings from version 1.4.x which I was running previously under SUSE 9.1 (KDE 3.2). Now I have to input my password for both smtp and pop mail servers over and over, despite the fact that I check "remember password" in the pop-up window. I have also checked "remember password" within the settings of the mail account. It looks like a bug, and it was working properly with the old evolution version 1.4.x version that I used before. What can I do?

Distribution: openSUSE 10.2 (i586)
Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-11-28 (SUSE)
BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0

This is bug 383861, please install any updates provided by Suse first before filing bugs. ;-)
If this is still not solved, please complain to Suse, because this is fixed for several weeks now in Evolution.

Thanks for the reply. I actually did run the "automatic" openSUSE updates, and various packages were updated on my machine. But apparently not Evolution - I still have the problem (which is quite annoying as you might imagine). From the exchanges on Bug 383861 it is not clear to me that anybody using openSUSE 10.2 actually has received an automatic update. It doesn't seem to be fixed "automagically". I will check on OpenSUSE's Bugzilla.
