Steps to reproduce:
I just re-installed gimmie and there is a crashing going on. I can't get a stack trace when I load it  via the gnome-panel applet window, so the stack trace below is when trying to load manually from the terminal. The app only crashes when I click on the "Linux" button. The other 3 buttons in the gnome-panel don't crash the app. The "Linux" view has some buttons on its left side, but its main view is completely empty. Then it's when it's crashing.
