Description Peter 2007-03-04 13:12:17 UTC
Please describe the problem:
It appears that the Jamendo plugin does not cache its cover art, and even when swtiching between songs from the same album it re-downloads them.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable the Jamendo and art display plugins
2. Select and play a song from an albumn on Jamendo
3. Notice the "default cover art" shows, then fades into the albumn cover
4. Jump to another song from the same album
5. Notice the cover fades out to the "default cover art" and then fades back to the correct cover art.

Actual results:
See step 5

Expected results:
At step 5, I would expect no change to the cover art as the same album is being played.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
The Jamendo covers do not get cached in ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/covers/ which may be related to this issue.

I am using a self compiled installation of RB 0.9.8 on Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake

This is a more general problem, of not caching art that we are given the URI of. Re-titling to reflect that.

The fix to bug 346852 could help here, with a suitable expiry time.
