URI links, possibly stored in metadata, will be like symbolic links but to a
full URI. These will basically be the symbolic links for gnome-vfs, which will
hopefully function sort of like a cross-protocol filesystem some day in the star
trek future :)

1352 depends on this, this may be relevant to setting milestone if we decide to
un-defer 1352, which may happen.

If we find that our current ".link" file feature is unfixable and we decide we
have to replace it with something in gnome-vfs, we can do this work as a means
to that end.

If not, we already considered this feature and decided to defer it.

Taking bugs previously assigned to Pavel, assigning them to myself. Will parse
them out at my leisure , but many are GnomeVFS bugs we should look at for 2.0
