Description Joel 2007-03-02 10:45:32 UTC
Ability to arrange image files and possibility video files by their dimensions (ie width, height). Perhaps the aspect ratio could be calculated and the images placed in order of ascending (or descending) values of the aspect ratio.

A Windows user pointed out that they could not arrange items 'by dimension' in Nautilus. I imagine they can do this in Windows. It seems like a nice feature to have.

I agree, I have posted in many forums about this feature request, and for work arounds. This function is necessary to web developers, artists, and graphic designers. This is considered a basic feature for file management in other OSs, and is would greatly enhance workflow for web professionals working in a native linux environment.

Media file meta data should be available as columns for sorting in Nautilus.
