Shortly before this crash, I had started downloading the update packages, after some downloading and installation, the update window stopped with error that there isn't sufficient disk space in folder. I logged out.... FC won't allow me to log in again as the user, I logged back in as root, deleted some programmes to create space. Then I was able to login as user and use GNUCash successfully.
