GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 413070
Drag and Drop extract is broken for large zip files
Last modified: 2007-12-29 16:25:54 UTC
Please describe the problem: I often extract files by dragging them out of the file-roller window onto the Desktop or into a Nautilus window. When a drag-drop starts however, file-roller starts some processing that I presume is copying to a temporary directory. If you complete the drag-drop before this copying is complete, the files are extracted partially. This is a greater problem when you extract an extensive or large directory structure, since you must wait with mouse button depressed for the processing to complete. Steps to reproduce: 1. Locate a large zip file with extensive directory structure. 2. Drag drop directory onto the desktop quickly Actual results: The directory is extracted partially Expected results: Everything extracted correctly Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
