What were you doing when the application crashed?
The Deskbar crashed as Gnome was starting.  I had not made any changes to my startup applications or to the contents of the deskbar.  It most likely has to do with the updates I installed yesterday, this is the first time I restarted since installing them.  I am using the current Ubuntu Feisty development packages.
