What were you doing when the application crashed? The Deskbar crashed as Gnome was starting. I had not made any changes to my startup applications or to the contents of the deskbar. It most likely has to do with the updates I installed yesterday, this is the first time I restarted since installing them. I am using the current Ubuntu Feisty development packages. After submitting this bug with the automatic crash report tool, it decided to inform me that the problem was with the Recycle Bin applet. I did empty my bin last night just before shutting down.
