Description Vincent Untz 2007-02-21 20:15:28 UTC
See bug 336731 for some background.

When you only want integer values, it's not possible to have a step less than 1.0 (else, the spinbutton won't change if you click just one time). But with 1.0, if the user doesn't release the mouse button, it just goes too fast (without any climb rate).

I changed the workspace applet so that it modifies spinbutton->timer_step after the initial key press. Maybe GTK+ should make it possible to easily do this (ie, not the hacky way I used), or maybe it should be changed to use another timeout value which is less frequent.

The workaround doesn't work anymore on gtk3 since the timer_step field was sealed...

We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are closing bugs that haven't seen activity in more than 5 years. If this issue is still imporant to you and
still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue
for it.
