GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 40992
"Fully decorate remote views" is not a sensible preference
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
A preference named "fully decorate remote views" has snuck into Nautilus. This is not a good preference, as I for one can't tell what it means. Probably something about doing less work in remote cases for performance reasons. Somebody who knows what this means will have to either find a way to express it that is clear, or remove it. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-05-26 11:06:07 ---- We invented a plan for this and related issues. I'm going to tweak the wording on this one and then write up bugs for the rest of the plan. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 20:18:03 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-02-19 16:26:56 ---- I will speculate that this preference is now the "Local Files Only" option for Speed Tradeoff's "Show Text In Icons" and "Show Thumbnails For Image Files" preferences. Rubber-stamping verified. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:34 -------
