GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 40865
Create "gnome-slow-file:" module for testing
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
This will be another form of the file module that adds delays into every file operation. The idea is to give a nice way to test and see the value of async. calls and also try out your cancel code, by providing a local convenient slow file system. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-12-19 11:10:15 ---- I tried to use this slow test module (test-module.c), and failed. It exists, and compiles, but does not seem to ever have been tested. I fixed the first few problems I ran into (about to check in) but did not try to get it to the state where it could actually be used for testing Nautilus, which was the original idea. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-12-19 11:11:45 ---- Darin volunteered to own this bug. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-12-19 15:28:31 ---- John is testing to see if the module we have is good enough. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-12-21 10:41:43 ---- John will close this if he ever successfully uses it to exercise even one timed wait. ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2001-01-03 11:44:26 ---- Let's verify this is working for 1.0. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2001-01-29 18:05:25 ---- OK, I've verified this is working correctly, and I've even been able to reliably get the timed-wait dialog to appear in at least one case (see bug 46127). Marking FIXED. Issues about improving this module belong in their own bug reports. ------- Additional Comments From victor@eazel.com 2001-03-05 20:08:18 ---- Marking verified as per Sullivan's previous remark. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 21:22 -------
