Description Jan Klopper 2007-02-07 09:17:02 UTC
I'd like to see nautilus display hidden files and folders with a slightly desaturated icon instead of the full color icon they will be displayed with now.

Doing this should be pretty easy, as desaturating an image isn't magic, and it helps users distinguish between hidden and normal files easier.

This would also allow nautilus to strip away the ~ for backup files, and thus display the correct file type icon based on the file extension without tricking the user into executing/opening the backup file (since that file's icon will be desaturated)
