Description Darin 2007-02-04 00:44:13 UTC
I was just editing my Audio Profiles in Sound Juicer. I'm a little new to this, so I was trying to add an MP3 encoding profile. I couldn't get it to work, so I decided to look at the OGG Profile for any clues (however unlikely). I highlighted the OGG Pipeline code, and went to CTRL+C to copy, but missed the C and hit V. So I accidently pasted the MP3 pipeline I had previously copied instead of copying the OGG pipeline I had highlighted.

I went to hit cancel, and then back to edit the profile only to find that it didn't cancel the edit. So now I'm stuck with a non-working MP3 pipeline in place of my OGG pipeline!

Anyway, I can repeat it every time on my machine, but if anyone could confirm this on theirs, it would be great.

I'm sure I will find it, but if anyone has the default OGG pipeline, that would be cool!

Also... I'm not sure if this needs a seperate report or not, but I do also just want to add that the Help Documentation is a bit outdated, and gives no help with MP3 encoding using the new gstreamer. It's a bit confusing. It looks like the Help Doc is still written for gstreamer .8 instead of gstreamer .10. I had no success in using the pipeline in the Help Documentation.

Thanks a lot for everyones and anyones work on this project, and also with this problem! I appreciate it very much! If there's anything I can do, please let me know! Thanks again!!

I'm seeing this with 2.16.4.

Perhaps this is related: when editing a profile, pressing Esc does not close the 'editing profile' window, but instead it closes the parent window, 'Edit GNOME Audio Profiles'. Once this happens, the Close button in the 'editing profile' window works normally, as does a second press of Esc.

Also, the profile editor really needs a 'i screwed it up, reset everything' button! :)
