GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 40389
Metadata for WebDAV URIs should be stored via WebDAV
Last modified: 2008-09-06 19:13:37 UTC
Right now we store them in a metafile on local disk; storing them via the normal WebDAV mechanism would probably work better. ------- Additional Comments From yakk@yakk.net 2000-04-05 06:38:31 ---- gnome-vfs has been fixed so that Nautilus can store .nautilus-metafile.xml files. The gnome-vfs metadata model will need to be revised for this bug to be further fixed. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-05-01 12:00:39 ---- Maybe Ian McKellar will do this. If he doesn't, we can do without it. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-09-08 15:26:38 ---- Setting all bugs to P6 to start official bug-prioritization plan. Please don't set the priority to anything other than P6 unless you've got the gold seal of approval for doing so. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:44 -------
clean up, this bug is unattended since more than 3.5 yrs ago, and was talking about gnome-vfs 1.x.
this bug is still being talked about in the wider scope of better metadata handling. reopen.
gnome-vfs has been deprecated and superseded by gio/gvfs since GNOME 2.22, hence mass-closing many of the gnome-vfs requests/bug reports. This means that gnome-vfs is NOT actively maintained anymore, however patches are still welcome. If your reported issue is still valid for gio/gvfs, please feel free to file a bug report against glib/gio or gvfs. @Bugzilla mail recipients: query for gnome-vfs-mass-close to get rid of these notification emails all together.
