at the very least we need zoomrects ala Mac ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-03-10 09:10:12 ---- at the very least we need zoomrects ala Mac ------- Additional Comments From andy@eazel.com 2000-03-27 12:32:03 ---- I will work with Raph on this. Depends on framework in bug 40186 ------- Additional Comments From andy@eazel.com 2000-05-02 11:31:17 ---- I will do a simple cut at this for the May release that won't depend on Raph's more elaborate framework ------- Additional Comments From andy@eazel.com 2000-05-04 00:11:48 ---- I'm moving this back to required, since I have too much for May ------- Additional Comments From andy@eazel.com 2000-07-27 10:33:27 ---- At John's suggestion, I'm deferring this. I still think it's vitally important, but by deferring it, we can do it as part of a coherent visual effects framework instead of the one-off way that I was planning for first ship. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-09-08 15:25:09 ---- Setting all bugs to P6 to start official bug-prioritization plan. Please don't set the priority to anything other than P6 unless you've got the gold seal of approval for doing so. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 20:03:20 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:36 -------
I don't particularly understand what this bug is requesting. If it's stating that opening a document from nautilus in external viewers should create some type of effect, well isn't this the window managers job?
Probably not the window manager's job; the WM can't really create effects on the icon itself (which is presumably what this is requesting.) I'd guess, though, that this is probably really a duplicate (for most purposes) of the 'give feedback on launch' bug that you and alex were discussing the other day, Dave. Can you mark this as a duplicate of that one, and add a comment there?
