GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 401717
crash in GNOME Commander: SMB-browsing crashes
Last modified: 2007-01-29 09:22:12 UTC
Version: 1.2.0 What were you doing when the application crashed? I clicked the button "SMB" to browse my samba network. I double-clicked the workgroup-name (debianhome) to open it. It asked me to open a remote file, which I cancelled/ignored. SMB server is Debian Sarge. smbc also crashes. I'm sorry, It didn't crash when I opened the file, but when I was clicking around afterwards. I can reproduce it by double-clicking the location bar. Typing "cd debianhome" on the commandline does work, but then the computer-name is recognized as a file, with the same problems as the group, and a similar crash occurs when clicking the location bar. "cd linux-server" does also work, and from that point on the share is shown in normal fashion. If I type "cd debianhom" instead of debianhome, it also crashes. Very easy to reproduce, so if the crash reports are useful, I can generate some more bugs ;)
Please upgrade to version 1.2.3 (http://www.nongnu.org/gcmd/download.html#distro). This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. Thanks for the report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 349631 ***
Thanks for the quick response :) And about upgrading: I'll wait for feisty, and in the meantime mount the drives using fstab :)
