GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 400720
Support accurate presentation of text attributes on the braille display
Last modified: 2008-07-22 19:28:03 UTC
Mike, to be speced.
This work can be done as a follow on to bug 382601.
I think what we really need here is the ability to alter the attributes spoken by insert+f either by modifying the default or via the app specific settings. I'd like to propose a new "text attributes" tab for the orca prefs dialog. This page would be laid out as follows. The first control on this page would be a list of the attributes which will be spoken. This list will be in speaking order. This list will be followed by 3 buttons. remove, move up, and move down which will apply to the first list. Following these three buttons we will have another list containing all possible attributes excluding those in the first list. Following this list will be an add button which will add the selected attribute to the bottom of the first list. Following the add button will simply be the normal OK cancel and apply buttons. If the user presses remove on an attribute in the first list it should be put back in the second.
Mike accidentally put this comment in the wrong bug. the correct bug is bug #376515.
Much of the work that needs to be done here was done as part of bug 382601. The question is, is there additional work that needs to be done in order to fully implement this RFE? Mike?
I can't think of anything more that is needed. If we missed something I'm sure the community will let us know.
Okay, then for now I'm updating the status to pending and changing the target milestone. If we missed anything major, I'll unchange these things. :-)
Looks good to close.
Thanks! Closing as FIXED.
