Other information: I had some nautilus windows opened, so it's another problem than just a usb hot plug. Nautilus wasn't used since several minutes (between a quarter and half an hour) but still launched. the usb key is a Hama, and as simple as possible (no installation needed) fat32, 256MB (passed the "washing machine" test ;-) ) As I'm writing this report : user memory : 346 MB / 512 MB swap : 246 MB / 512 MB several software are launched : opera, firefox, The Gimp, evince, openoffice2, beagle (sleeping)
