Description Sven Arvidsson 2007-01-20 23:08:38 UTC
This is Debian bug 223019

The "Archive type not supported" message a user is shown when a certain executable , like unrar, isn't installed could be expanded on. Preferably it should explain that the user need to install additional software packages to gain this functionality.

I'm not sure what would be good wording, but maybe something like "To extract this file you need the unrar program installed".

If you still use file-roller and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at
