This seems to be a duplicate of bug#389740 bug#394783 ; @kontakt90: Ideally we would need the "scheme back trace", just as it is shown in bug#378274. However, in the first two bugs I've mentioned, there is no scheme backtrace but only the message "throw from within critical section.", which is bad but we have to live with that. For clarification: You have guile-1.8.0, right? Also, could you test the example files of bug#389740 bug#394783 to see whether your crash is identical to them? Also, does your QIF file contain Umlauts, and if yes, could you try to find out the encoding of them (see bug#394783)? Ideally we would also need an example QIF file from you, but I guess those from the other bug reports are already sufficient.
Created attachment 80430 [details] example import file - not the orignal one - but crashes also You're right - guile version is guile-1.8.0-8.20060831cvs The original did definately contain german umlauts - probably the test-one did too. Sorry, didn't know how to figure out the encoding - but it comes from quicken running on win xp - so probably just ansi standard - hope the attached qif file can tell you more. regards, mike
