Version: 2.16.1 What were you doing when the application crashed? Just before, I was trying to use the VLC media player to play a file with an extension vob inside a rented DVD ("Curse of King Tut"). VLC complained that the content was actually some text. So, to explore the situation, I tried to open this vob file with gedit, and this is where the bug was reported.
