GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 395833
List of keys not refreshing when key is deleted
Last modified: 2007-12-10 15:54:20 UTC
Please describe the problem: When deleting a key from the keyring (in Seahorse UI), the list of keys is not refreshed, so the deleted key remains listed (and can be selected and "deleted" again). When exiting Seahorse and running it again, the key is gone. So the key is being deleted, it's just the listing that's not being refreshed. Note: This didn't happen every single time I tested it. Sometimes the key was deleted, other times not. Unfortunately I couldn't find any pattern. I could generate a trace of when it doesn't (don't know how to). Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Sorry, a clarification: The key is deleted every time. However, sometimes the key list is refreshed and the key disappears from the list; other times the key remains in the list even though it's been deleted.
Zero, if you can narrow it down to when it happens that would help a lot. I thought we had fixed this in bug #388318 which was before 0.9.10 was released. I haven't seen that bug since, but I haven't been looking for it either.
I was just trying out Seahorse for the first time and I also found this problem. The key file is deleted immediately but the entry in the key list remains until the window is closed. I don't know if it happens every time or not yet, I was just trying out the SSH key creating functionality. I'm using Seahorse 1.0 on feisty.
Is this still an issue?
