I reported this bug then realised that my comments were a little spartan.

It first happened while viewing an email with fifteen images in it. When I tried to view the first image inline in the email, it crashed. After installing the dbg package I tried to emulate the bug again and managed it on an email with only seven images in it, again while viewing the email in its own window, as opposed to the preview pane.
