Description trangayesi 2007-01-08 18:17:52 UTC
Version: 2.16.1

What were you doing when the application crashed?
I'm new to Terminal.

I had a single Profile ("Default"). I had the menu bar turned off.

I right-clicked, and selected "Edit current profile...". I changed the profile name to "BlackOnWhite", and changed the color settings (turned off system colors, changed drop-down to "Grey on black"), and said OK.

Realizing that it had replaced the "Default" profile, instead of adding a new one, I added the Menu bar back, then clicked on File -> New profile.... I named my new profile "Default", and at that point the application crashed.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

Hi. I can't seem to find the right dbgsym package repository for gtk, gnomevfs & glib. However, the gnome-terminal-dbgsym package installed OK. I hope it's enough.

This time, I renamed the current profile to "Bar". Then I went to Edit Profiles... and ensured that there was no "Default" profile. I then selected File -> New Profile..., and named it "Default" (based on Bar). At this point, Terminal crashes.

It's enough to find out that it's a duplicate that others are already looking at. Thanks.
