Description Casual J. Programmer 2007-01-07 12:09:29 UTC
Please describe the problem:
see also bug 383861. Evolution remembers passwords when started via the menu or a terminal. When the keyboard shortcut is used this is not the case.

Using a Fujitsu Siemens Computers Notebook Amilo 1520 with extra keys for Browser, Email, etc.

Steps to reproduce:
1. press the shortcut key for email
2.
3.

Actual results:
Evolution asks for every password ( multiple accounts ) when it is started and everytime mail is checked.

Expected results:
Nothing

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
see bug 383861

What GNU/Linux distribution are you using?
Comment 2 Casual J. Programmer 2007-01-07 12:32:20 UTC
this is occuring with openSuSE 10.2
Comment 3 Sebastien Bacher 2007-01-07 14:56:40 UTC
that's because gnome-settings-daemon is spawned by dbus now and it doesn't get the GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET set correctly then
Comment 4 Casual J. Programmer 2007-04-28 08:04:54 UTC
This problem seems to have gone away, at least with openSuSE 10.3 and Evolution 2.10 it doesn't happen any more.
