GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 393095
Add trailers content sidebar
Last modified: 2011-04-06 14:19:28 UTC
Script to get a list of trailers from the QuickTime website: http://www.xbmcscripts.com/modules/mod_docman/includes_frontend/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=373&Itemid=36 Dave's Trailer page will also get RSS support: http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/
Apple have an RSS feed: http://images.apple.com/trailers/rss/newtrailers.rss And the pages themselves look screen-scrapeable.
Or use something like this feed: http://rtcfeeds.com/feeds/applemovietrailers.rss linked from: http://rtcfeeds.com/ufeeds/feeds/applemovietrailers and load it in Rhythmbox. Rhythmbox would need video support though...
There's RSS parsing in libtotem-plparser now. Philip, fancy taking a crack at it?
There's also trailers from Dave's Trailer page, available as RSS: http://bulknews.vox.com/library/post/hd-trailers-on-your-htpc.html
Hi, I'd like to take a crack at this. Would implementing it as a plugin be an acceptable solution?
Yes, I don't think we want to see this in the core of Totem anyway.
Great. Well I guess I'll be taking care of this one then :)
