What were you doing when the application crashed?
just opened evolution mail.  "formatting messag (...)" then crashes

Note that the bug was due to a specific message.  Once the message was clicked on, it crashed Evolution Mail.  I sent the message to myself from work.  It might have contained a VCF file (my vCard) and it definitely contained an exported copy of my GroupWise calendar.  I don't believe there was any text in the body of the message.  Maybe my signature.  Probably not, though.
