What were you doing when the application crashed?
Browsing photos on a remote directory with eog.
The remote directory is on a remote server. 
The remote directory on this server is accessed through a SSH connection.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
