Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2006-12-19 00:49:29 UTC
I have topics that use accents in French, such as "électronique" (electronic), "sécurité" (security).

These topics cannot be searched because of the accents. Any other topic that uses plain English characters can be searched without problems by typing the name of that topic.

Works for me.
Comment 2 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2006-12-22 14:20:52 UTC
Could there be something else than accents then? It definitely doesn't for me, as long as there is an accented letter...
Comment 3 Diego Escalante Urrelo (not reading bugmail) 2006-12-26 23:04:30 UTC
Do you mean that the topic doesn't appear or that the tilde doesn't appear?.
There's a bug about input methods and GtkEntry, maybe that's what you mean.

everything in the topic "actualité" is displayed because I have not typed the "é" character.

The next screenshot will convince you.

Now I understand! I thought you were talking about the location entry (where you input urls).

I'll have a look at this :)
Comment 7 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2006-12-27 01:04:18 UTC
I realize that I totally forgot to speciy that it was in the bookmark manager, sorry about that :) and thanks for looking into it!

Can't find the logic for filtering in location entry vs search entry in bme.

Hints?
Comment 9 Christian Persch 2006-12-27 14:29:19 UTC
ephy-node-filter.c vs. ephy-location-entry.c/ephy-location-action.c.

Confirming and declaring myself as lost in action looking for the code that does this :).
Comment 11 Michael Catanzaro 2016-09-28 16:35:26 UTC
I think there's no topics search anymore.
