When i want to delete it i get: Could not remove addressbook. Steps to reproduce: 1. open evolution 2. click on contacts 3. click on one of the addressbooks Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? YES! Other information: If i run # /usr/libexec/evolution/2.8/evolution-addressbook-clean i get: (evolution:8955): evolution-addressbook-tools-WARNING **: Couldn't load addressbook (null) ** (evolution:8955): WARNING **: FIXME: wait for completion unimplemented Unknown error 65280 at /usr/libexec/evolution/2.8/evolution-addressbook-clean line 15. my systeminfo: # emerge --info Portage 2.1.1-r2 (default-linux/amd64/2006.1/desktop, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.4-r4, 2.6.18-suspend2 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.18-suspend2 x86_64 AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-52 Gentoo Base System version 1.12.6 Last Sync: Tue, 12 Dec 2006 22:30:01 +0000 app-admin/eselect-compiler: [Not Present] dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.30 dev-lang/python: 2.4.4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 dev-util/ccache: [Not Present] dev-util/confcache: [Not Present] sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.17 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.60 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.13-r4 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/share/X11/xkb" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/web2c" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude='/distfiles' --exclude='/local' --exclude='/packages'" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X a52 aac aalib acpi alsa alsa_cards_hda-intel amd64 apm arts avahi avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bonobo cairo cdda cddb cdr cli cpudetection cracklib crypt cups daap dbus divx dlloader doc dri dts dv dvd dvdr dvdread eds elibc_glibc emboss encode esd fam fbcon fbsplash ffmpeg firefox flac fortran gdbm gif gmedia gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 hal iconv imagemagick input_devices_evdev input_devices_keyboard input_devices_mouse input_devices_synaptics input_devices_wacom ipv6 isdnlog java jpeg kernel_linux ldap libg++ live livecd lm_sensors mad mikmod mjpeg mono mp3 mpeg mplayer ncurses nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin nvidia ogg opengl oss pam pcre pda pdf pdflib perl pmu png ppds pppd python qt3 qt4 quicktime readline realmedia reflection rtc rtsp sdl session shout skins sound speex spell spl ssl stream tcl tcpd theora truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev unicode userland_GNU v4l v4l2 video_cards_nv video_cards_nvidia video_cards_vesa vim vorbis wacom wmp wxwindows x264 xine xml xorg xosd xv xvid zeroconf zlib" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS
The bug seems to be over. Well, if i create an address book, the first time i click i get the described problem. But if i click on another address book, and then back on the new one, it works correctly from then on.
Created attachment 83294 [details] Evolution error message. Same problem here. As already said to reproduce just create new addressbook and click it. You'll see the error window attached.
This is a duplicate of bug #425512, which is fixed, and should thus be closed.
