GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 385294
gnumeric crashes when exporting text
Last modified: 2006-12-13 14:38:27 UTC
Distribution: Debian 4.0 Package: Gnumeric Severity: critical Version: GNOME2.14.3 1.6.x Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: gnumeric crashes when exporting text Bugzilla-Product: Gnumeric Bugzilla-Component: import/export Text Bugzilla-Version: 1.6.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1) Description: Description of the crash: I copy some text into gnumeric, which it divvies up by tabs and puts into cells. After a little playing around with it I ctrl-a and ctrl-c to copy the whole thing, then paste it into a text editor (in this case an html form text box in firefox/iceweasel). But when I paste, gnumeric crashes. This seems to happen all the time when I use ctrl-a to select, I suspect it is trying to copy EVERYTHING despite the fact that only about 5x200 boxes are full. $ gnumeric GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:172: failed to allocate 536870912 bytes aborting... Failed to read a valid object file image from memory. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnumeric' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".
