Description nicolas pugeault 2006-12-08 09:37:23 UTC
I often use images for data output, and it would be very convenient to have the pixel position of the mouse pointer, and the RGB value of the pixel (e.g., like in XV or gimp).
This could be displayed in the status bar, next to the image size information.
Cheers.

I would not put this as a core feature in EOG. Maybe it would fit better in a plugin. Leaving it open for further discussion in the future when we have the plugin system in place.
Comment 2 Claudio Saavedra 2007-01-04 22:54:37 UTC
I agree with Lucas. It's a more advanced feature, EOG should stay as simple as possible. Though it would fit perfectly for a plugin.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
