In addition to bug 332027, it would be nice to have an option to show, if a photo was modified/have different versions.

Thanks for this bug report. Actually, you're already able to know if there's version for this photo while looking at the version button on the left pane.

If you want the distinction to be more obvious, check bug 381332.
