Description Sebastien CELLES 2006-12-05 20:19:17 UTC
Hello,

when I'm using the TWAIN interface in GIMP for acquiring a picture I ALWAYS need to change the light and the contrast after acquiring it.

It shouldn't be necessary to do it each time I need to acquire pictures.

In fact the interface should provide an easy way to set light and contrast of the picture (for one device) and should keep the settings when I need to acquire
a other picture.

Regards

(and thanks for GIMP)

Sorry, no enhancement requests for the TWAIN plug-in as long as we have a maintainer for it.

Could you send a feedback for the TWAIN plug-in maintener for this ?

I think that feature is very usefull as it should avoid people using an other software for acquiring picture (xsane, quiteinsane, etc...)

If the TWAIN plugin provide features such as xsane, quiteinsane... it will be much easier for them.

There is no maintainer. That's the whole point.

Ok... sorry I didn't understand this (English is not my mother tongue)

Maybe you should ask to the xsane developer to try to do something about it.

It will be very nice to have the xsane interface into GIMP.

Moreover I think that it could be available for many OS since xsane is made with GTK+ too

As the two programs (GIMP and xsane) are made with the same toolkit it could be easy to merge them. (for a good developper of course... not for a Sunday C-programmer like me)
