Description Santanu Chatterjee 2006-11-30 06:16:22 UTC
'Alt+Tab' and other keyboard shortcuts should work while Drag'nDrop is being done. These is a standard operation in all major Desktops I have worked with so far, including KDE and Windows, and feels quite natural way to do things.

While doing Drag and Drop, no keyboard shortcuts for switching windows (Alt+Tab) or switching Desktops (Ctrl+Alt+<Left|Right>) works. While one solution is to use Ctrl+c to copy the selection and then switch to the target application window to paste the selection, but for some application, such as Totem, it does not work (at least on my Linux installation (Ubuntu Edgy)). For these apps, Drag'nDrop seem to be the only solution.
