What were you doing when the application crashed?
I am using Evolution 2.8.1
I am trying to sync my Sony Clie PegT665c with Palm OS 4.1 using the pilot applet.
The problem is that the contact categories don't get pulled from the palm and subsequent syncs cause duplicate contact entries with the category of "unfiled" for any contact on the palm that has an assigned category.
I have not been able to find any solutions to this issue on the internet.

Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy)
Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-10-02 (Ubuntu)
BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0

Moving this to gnome-pilot. Have you tried the latest version of that?

Duplicate of

This really belongs in evolution->conduits, as the mail/calendar/addressbook conduits are part of the evolution codebase.

Support for categories in the addressbook conduit is a live development issue.

Just last week, a patch was submitted to the gnome-pilot-list:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-pilot-list/2007-January/msg00033.html

Calendar still needs to be done, too.
