GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 376427
Enhancement requests for Epiphany address bar
Last modified: 2007-01-08 08:42:54 UTC
This is actually two requests, but since they both are related to the address bar, I'll file both of the here. 1. While typing an address, I would like to edit parts of an address that I previously visited. For example: + I had visited <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME>. + I would like to visit the entry for Epiphany, so I need to type: <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epiphany>. + So, while typing the address, the address bar shows: http://en.wikipe| http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME ... + I would like to press the "down" key, which would "set" the address to <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME> (but does not visit the page yet). - If I press enter now, I go to the page for GNOME. - If press backspace a few times to remove GNOME and type in Epiphany I can visit the page for Epiphany. 2. While typing an address, I would like to see the "title" of the webpage. + I had visited GNOME bugzilla, and would like to visit the bug report I had visited before. + While typing the address for GNOME bugzilla, the address bar shows: http://bugzilla.gn| http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318728 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321970 ... + Since this information is not very friendly, I would like to see something like: http://bugzilla.gn| http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318728 On password prompt, address http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321970 Drop-down list/combo box at ... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Title of the webpage Konqueror sets the title part to italics, making things a bit easier to read.
Thanks for your interest in improving Epiphany! Request #1 is a known bug in GTK+, see bug 318459 . Your second request has already been implemented in the current development release. I'm marking this a dupe of 318459. In the future, please file separate bugs for separate issues. Thanks! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 318459 ***
