Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance! please isntlal the gkt+ and glib packages

from duplicate bug 416476 (which has at least debug symbols for nautilus: To reproduce the crash use the file "dynamicRules.odp" (http://diuf.unifr.ch/pai/people/broccoa/dynamicRules.odp) 1. Right click on the file 2. Select "Properties" from the popup menu 3. Nautilus hangs (tested on two GNOME 2.16 installs, on ubuntu edgy/Gnome nautilus 2.16.1) Note that the files opens correctly in Openoffice/Staroffice.

hmm, i can't crash it here on 2.17.92 with amos' example file. needinfo state again. :-( Amos: If this crash is reproducible on your Ubuntu system, could you please install some debugging packages [1], and try to reproduce the crash, if possible? Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the 'Details', now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here to bug 375635. Thanks in advance! [1] Please install the following debug packages provided by Ubuntu: nautilus-dbg (probably already installed), libglib2.0-0-dbg, and libgtk2.0-0-dbg.
