Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Could you please install some debugging packages [1] and reproduce the crash, if possible?

Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the "details", now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks!

Also, could you please add a description, what you were doing when the application crashed?

[1] debugging packages for evolution, evolution-data-server and gtkhtml,
plus debugging packages for some basic GNOME libs. More details can
    be found here:

Comment 2 tremaine 2006-11-10 05:15:30 UTC
I've installed the following dbgsym packages and dependencies:

evolution-plugins
 libgmime-2.0-2
libopensync0
mail-notification
mail-notification-evolution
opensync-plugin-evolution
evolution-data-server-dbgsym
evolution-dbgsym
evolution-plugins
evolution-plugins-dbgsym
libgmime-2.0-2
libopensync0
mail-notification
mail-notification-evolution
mail-notification-evolution-dbgsym
opensync-plugin-evolution
opensync-plugin-evolution-dbgsym

At the time of the crash I was viewing an email with two images (jpegs). I expanded the first to view inline, then hid it again. I then expanded the second to view inline at which point evolution crashed.

In attempting to recreate the crash, I followed the same steps 3 times with no crash. However on completely opening the message (rather than using the preview pane) and using the same view tactics (preview inline, hide, preview second) I managed to cause the crash.

Here's the output:
